Our establishment
HOTEL LOS TILOS is situated in Beteta, in the northern regions of the Serranía de Cuenca Mountains, close to the Sierra de Guadalajara Mountains, the most spectacular mountain pass of the Alto Tajo (Upper Tagus). It is perched on a rocky spur overlooking the wide plains of La Vega de Beteta, home to El Tobar Lagoon. Its continental Mediterranean climate, combined with the altitude at which it lies, gives rise to cold winters and cool summers, making the region ideal for leisure activities. It is an area of exceptional mycological interest, in both Spring and Autumn. As well as enjoying well-maintained rooms and facilities, our guests receive first-rate service in a quiet, friendly atmosphere. HOTEL LOS TILOS was built in 1986 and has a two-star rating.

Rooms
HOTEL LOS TIROS has 24 bedrooms, all outward-facing, able to accommodate up to 48 guests. All our rooms are double, 4 have full bathrooms and 20 have shower rooms. Each room has television, telephone and mini-bar. An extra folding bed is available.

Useful tourist information
In Beteta itself, you can visit the remains of its castle, its Gothic-plateresque church, La Rosa Shrine, the pretty square lined with balconies and the varied popular architecture.
In the local area, we can single out Beteta Gorge (3 km away), a 6 km long river canyon carved out by the Guadiela River and a place of special geological and ecological interest, providing habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals. The Tobar Lagoon, of Karstic origins, and the man-made lakes of Chincha and La Tosca, ideal for sport fishing.
Small and large game hunting at the National Hunting Reserve and other local reserves.
Some interesting nearby places include:
- The mountain pass of the Alto Tajo Nature Reserve.
- 12 km from here lies Solán de Cabras (18th century), a place of rest and curative, medicinal spring water.
- 25 km from here lies the source of the Cuervo River, a popular beauty spot of spectacular, picturesque scenery.
- Areas of extraordinary geological interest and fossil hunting. El Campichuelo depression from the Tertiary period, as well as numerous canyons and gorges (Somera Canyon, Tragavivos Gorge, the Cuervo River Canyon).
- Forests and scenic landscapes with very interesting plants and wildlife, such as El Hosquillo Reserve with its colonies of vultures and birds of prey.
- Interesting mountain-style architecture at places such as Beteta, Masegosa, Tragacete and Priego, where you can see many examples of original craft work.
- Trips to the nearby city of Cuenca and its famous sites, such as "La Ciudad Encantada" (The Enchanted City, a fabulous area of truly remarkable rock formations), just one hour from the hotel.
